12 years ago, I was remodeling a home in Greenwich, Ct. The homeowner requested an entertainment center made from barn wood. You can’t just go out and get that kind of wood from the lumberyard. I found a local barn to dismantle and fell in love with not only the process, but the beauty of the wood.
My passion and knowledge have developed into a thriving business incorporating my family. My son, Rob is the barn wood master. His knowledge of barn wood and barn removal has far surpassed mine. Felix is our shop Foreman. He is a true craftsman and artist all rolled into one.

WHERE WE'RE COMING FROM
At After The Barn, we believe it is better to recycle the wood from old structures, transforming and redefining its role, enhancing its value rather than to relegate the old beams, walls and floors to a landfill where the irreplaceable hardwood would needlessly disappear along with any knowledge of its origin and the history of its time honored place in rural America.
Our furniture is made from the finest beams, flooring and siding. We hand select the wood for it’s unique grain, texture and character to ensure that the finished product will be the centerpiece of your home.
Our furniture is all-natural, not artificially distressed!
Left abandoned and exposed to the elements, barns weaken and rot; the great beams and richly grained floors gone forever. Barn wood furniture preserves not only the beauty of the ancient trees, but exemplifies the enduring quality of superior wood. Furnishings from reclaimed barns will last for generations to come and embody a rich tapestry of American history.
Here at After The Barn, we respect the heritage of the old growth forests and trees that the pioneering farmers cleared for their pastures and fields and we build our farm tables and furnishings with care and craftsmanship so that our customers can experience a connection with the beauty and history of America’s rural past.
We encourage you to browse our website for sample furniture or visit our showroom in Beacon, NY. If you have a request for custom designed furniture, millwork or have a DIY project, email or call and we will be happy to discuss your needs.
We also have a wide assortment of old farm tools and barn hardware.
